BridgesHome Health Care

BridgesHome Health Care is a joint venture of Hospice of Medina County and Medina General Hospital. The mission is to provide health care that assists patients to achieve the highest level of independence through coordinated planning and responsiveness to each person's needs. BridgesHome serves Medina County and adjacent areas of Cuyahoga, Lorain, Summit, and Wayne counties.



Medina Hospital

Serving the community since 1944, the hospital has 118 beds, with more than 1,000 employees (the seventh largest employer in Medina County) and 44 departments that provide numerous services both internally and within the community. Medina Hospital also has a satellite facility, the Brunswick Medical Care Center, which offers a variety of medical services, including an Immediate Care Center, physician offices, radiology services, including mammography, and physical and occupational therapy services.


Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital

Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital is an acute-care general hospital that has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.  With 113 registered beds, Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital is one of the area's largest employers, employing more than 500 people.  The medical staff is made up of more than 200 medical specialists, representing more than thirty medical specialties, from primary care such as family practice and internal medicine, to other specialties ranging from allergy and asthma to urology.  91% of the active medical staff is board-certified.


Lodi Community Hospital

Lodi Community Hospital provides quality, community-based healthcare to people of southwest Medina County and portions of Lorain, Ashland and Wayne Counties.

Designated as a fully accredited Critical Access Hospital, we offer acute and skilled care, a full range of outpatient diagnostic, rehabilitation and physical therapy services, and a completely redesigned and expanded state-of-the-art 24 hour emergency department. The hospital is also one of only 8 statewide bases for MedFlight of Ohio, which provides around the clock helicopter transportation for critically ill or injured patients from hospital to hospital or from accident scene to hospital.


Barberton Citizens Hospital

Summa Barberton Hospital is dedicated to providing excellent healthcare to the people of our community. To this end, we support a team of top surgical and medical specialists with advanced technology and a skilled, caring staff.

A 311-bed, general acute care community hospital, we offer inpatient services in the clinical areas of medicine, surgery, cardiology, critical care, extended care, psychiatry, oncology, emergency medicine, obstetrics and physical rehabilitation.

We also provide many outpatient services and community outreach programs. The hospital offers a Family Practice Residency program and is a major teaching hospital with the Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine.

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States. The organization is committed to improving end of life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones.
