Barberton Hospice & Palliative Care is looking for volunteers to visit patients in their homes, nursing facilities, and hospitals. Duties often include respite time for caregivers, reading to patients, running errands, and various tasks to assist patients and families. Pet therapy dogs and their owners are also needed. Volunteers are scheduled in close distance to their homes whenever possible. Volunteer training is scheduled for Thursdays, April 8 - May 27, 2010, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Barberton Hospice & Palliative Care office, 103 Fifth Street, S.E., Suite S, Barberton.
